Teardrop Floating Trout Net

Sometimes the best days on the water are on small streams or ponds targeting all kinds of freshwater fish. A quality landing net is an essential piece of equipment to turn your hook-ups into fish holds and ensure you land more fish. The floating trout net family allows anglers to practice proper catch and release. It is also easy to carry when wading, bank fishing or using small craft like a canoe or kayak. Designed specifically for anglers who need a convenient, easy to carry, one-handed landing net. The floating net keeps the hoop on the water's surface for easy fish handling. It's design protects the tangle free micromesh rubberized netting ensuring you land the catch of the day. A comfortable handle and lanyard with carabiner prevents the net from floating away.

    19x23 Net Review

The net is great, I call it the pig pen. Used it on pike, carp, black bass, brown trout, steelhead, coho salmon, king salmon fit ok too, real jumbo ones are a little tight but it’s cool, same for pike in excess of 40”. If you catch a 2 foot trout it can still swim around in here and be all happy and and not folded on its side- which is great because I feel like it’s better for the fish.

My gripe with this net is the gauge of the aluminum is far too light and the handle is not staying attached to the frame, the screw come out and the aluminum stripped easily. The frame also bends if you scoop with the handle upside down it bends. I still love the net I got 2 years (probably 150-200 days) of hard fishing out of it. I would recommend taping the joint to reinforce it if you start getting wiggle and use some thread locker on the screws but make sure not to overtighten them!

A few of my friends use the smaller sizes and absolutely love them for trout fishing exclusively and have had a 5 star experience.

    Net

This is a fantastic net. I've netted trout from 6" to 11# no issues. I normally use a 6'6" rod and have no problem with landing fish. Only issue I have is the hooks will easily snag in the net material but that's a minor inconvenience more than anything.

    Frabil 17x22 teardrop net

I have three sizes of this net. The mesh is very easy on the fish. The handles are too short. It is very difficult to land larger fish with a 10’ 9” rod with the short net handle. An other five or six inches on the handle would be perfect.

    Awesome Net

Best net I have used, I don’t know why anyone would buy a $200 net for use on foot when this exists at this price point.
